GAY PHOTOGRAPHERS NETWORK
The Gay Photographers Network is an organisation for gay men and women, and their friends, who are interested in photography. The aim is to create a network where people can share photographic ideas & knowledge and get together regularly.
We created the Gay Photographers Network Facebook group, with 4,000 members. For those who attend our London meetings we operate a separate Facebook page. @GPNLondon is a good place to interact with other members before coming along to a meeting.
There are a number of other membership benefits including;
• Free image submissions for GPN-hosted exhibitions
• Access to the members only area of our website & public access to your portfolio if desired
• Access to GPN tutorials
• Access to photo walks, events and activities
• A safe, protected place to promote work
• Networking and advice opportunities
• Improving knowledge through talks & walks
• Social environment
Our membership is diverse and inclusive. We range from professional photographers to relative newcomers but what we all share in common is our passion for photography. The reasons for joining are accordingly also diverse. For some it’s to network, for others, to gain new opportunities to show and perhaps sell their work, to further their skills and improve techniques, or just to share interest with other photographers. Whatever your motivation there is something for you at the GPN.
GPN members are encouraged to take an active role in the various activities, whether it’s leading a photo walk, playing a role in the planning and hosting of our annual exhibition, leading a practical session at a monthly meeting, giving a presentation or simply becoming involved in the day to day running of the group, there are plenty of opportunities to put to good use your personal skills.
We meet monthly in Central London. Please contact us at the above email address if you want to be included in the monthly email giving details of the meeting.
